Leadership Mitchell County Extends Invitation to
Community Service Award Recipient Banquet honoring John & Pat Cashatt

The Leadership Mitchell County Board cordially invites you to the Mitchell County Community Service Award banquet in honor of John and Pat Cashatt.  During the 2020 pandemic, LMC unfortunately had to postpone this awards ceremony and they look forward to honoring John and Pat in 2021.

In 2015, LMC launched the community service award to recognize individuals that are consistent in their stewardship and commitment to service of Mitchell County.

“Pat and John have given endlessly of their time and talents to make Beloit and surrounding communities a better place,” said Curt Frasier, LMC Board member. “They continue to give in their humble, yet dedicated volunteerism efforts to Mitchell County and beyond.”

An awards banquet to honor Pat and John will be held on Saturday, August 14th, 2021, at the North Central Kansas Technical College conference room.  A meet and greet will begin at 5:30pm with a dinner served at 6:00pm and program at 6:45pm.  Reservations can be made at Frasier, Johnson & Martin LLC.  Reservations are $25 per person and the RSVP deadline is August 4th.

An honorarium will be awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Cashatt, they have elected to help support the Perdue Hospitality Home and Solomon Valley Transportation.  Individuals and businesses can donate to the honorarium.  Please contact Curt Frasier for donation details at 785-738-5723.

Hello! This is the second year for the Kansas Youth Virtual Entrepreneurship Challenge and I wanted to share this great opportunity with you. This is for all school aged children from K-12. Please see the attached flyer. This is an OPTIONAL opportunity, but very valuable.
To enter, students must create a 3-5 minute video pitch (similar to shark tank) on their business idea. This can range from a lemonade stand to a drone business to a new invention and everything in between. The sky’s the limit!
Similarly, the video can be taken on a cellphone or it can be elaborately edited or anything in between. You can use props (ex: dog walking business would use a dog in the video, drone business may have drone footage, tech business may have an elaborate video, lemonade stand could show customers stopping by to enjoy a refreshing treat, etc)
The best part – there is no possible way of “cheating”. You are encouraged to use all the resources available to you. Ask for help from others in your community, practice in front of others and ask for constructive criticism. We live in wonderful communities filled with adults who will help students succeed. Reach out and create a support system and use the resources available in your community.
