Kansas Dept of Commerce

The Kansas Department of Commerce is working closely with the Kansas Department of Emergency Management (KDEM) to complete the required steps for requesting an SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan Declaration.  As part of this process, KDEM needs to obtain information from small businesses that have suffered substantial economic injury as a result of the COVID-19 disaster.  Additional information is available at

Beloit Senior Center Update

As of March 19, 2020, the Beloit Senior Center is temporarily discontinuing our in-house dining. We will continue to deliver to our home delivery folks and be available for quick meal pickups at our backdoor (east side of the building). All extra activities are postponed until further notice.

Salina, Kansas – Amid COVID-19 concerns, OCCK, Inc. Transportation is adjusting service levels for CityGo, 81 Connection, Regional Paratransit and City of Abilene public transportation beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, and continuing until further notice.

Beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, CityGo buses will only run from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with no peak routes running.  Passengers will be required to observe social distancing requirements.  Additional buses may be dispatched if needed.

For regional paratransit and the City of Abilene public transportation, non-essential subscription rides will be suspended.  Essential rides, those trips to work, medical appointments and those for nutrition (groceries, etc.), will be booked no more than 24-48 hours in advance and scheduled based on the number of drivers fit for duty.  Passengers will be scheduled to meet social distancing recommendations.

81 Connection will run the regular morning route (SB Link 1 & NB Link 1), but will only run the Salina-Belleville-Salina (NB Link 3 & SB Link 3) route in the afternoon, each day Monday through Friday.  Passengers will be required to observe social distancing requirements.

Services levels will continue to be adjusted as the situation warrants.  Information will be submitted to the media, posted on Facebook and the OCCK Transportation website.

Salina, Kansas – Because of the growing COVID-19 pandemic, effective as of 5:00 p.m. today, Thursday, March 19, 2020, all OCCK regional offices will be closed to the public, with the exception of the Abilene Recycling Center, which will close at noon on Friday, March 20, 2020, until further notice.

Locations impacted will be the following:

  • Salina Regional Office/Corporate Headquarters/InMyHome at 1710 W. Schilling, Salina
  • The Solution Outreach Center at 1605 W. Schilling, Salina
  • Abilene Regional Office at 300 N. Cedar, Suite 221, Abilene
  • Concordia Regional Office at 1502 Lincoln, Concordia
  • Beloit Regional Office at 501 W. 7th, Beloit
  • The Transportation office at 340 N. Santa Fe in Salina closed yesterday.
  • Abilene Recycling Center at 1210 NW 8th, Abilene, will close at noon on Friday, March 20, 2020

All services will continue as much as possible and customer needs will be addressed promptly. However, with social distancing, we will be limiting the number of staff members working in each building. Employees will be asked to work from home, if possible. Group meetings will be limited in the size and number. Additional safety and cleaning procedures have been implemented as well.

Customers are asked to drop off paperwork in drop boxes and make appointments with necessary staff at each facility. Signs will be posted at each facility with contact information.
