HOW CREATIVE ARE YOU????
Show everyone by entering Central National Bank’s Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Central National Bank is challenging all businesses to participate! They will waive the $5.00 entry fee, all you will need to do is decorate your bra! The bra can be decorated to represent your business or be as creative as you want! If you are unable to get your hands on a bra, Central National Bank will supply one for you! The more bras on display, the more money for Relay for Life. Let’s all help get closer to finding a cure for breast cancer, one bra at a time!
Enter our Best Dressed Contest!
Decorate a bra any way you would like. Enter it into our contest along with a $5.00 entry fee. You can enter as many as you would like. The more you enter the more money we raise for Relay for Life. Then tell all your friends to come in to the Beloit Branch where all the Best Dressed Bras will be displayed and vote for your bra with a $1.00 donation. Again all donations will be going to Relay for Life. So tell your friends to vote more than once! Contest will run the whole month of October.
Cooportunity Day Picnic in Beloit
Cooperatives join together to host Cooportunity Day Picnic in Beloit
Being part of a cooperative means being part of something special. Farmway Co-op, Farmway Credit Union and Rolling Hills Electric Co-op are celebrating National Cooperative Month, along with 40,000 other cooperative businesses serving more than 120 million people nationwide.
To recognize this special month, the three cooperatives invite members and the community to the Cooportunity Day Picnic at Rolling Hills Electric Co-op Headquarters in Beloit Friday, October 7th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. where a hamburger lunch with all the fixings will be served. The cooperatives also ask guests to bring a non-perishable item to the Cooportunity Day Picnic for the Mitchell County Food Pantry.
“The annual awareness month provides a key opportunity to reflect on the legacy of cooperative impact and celebrate the many ways co-ops are building better businesses, better communities and, ultimately, a better world,” said Mallory Wittstruck from Farmway Co-op.
Kansas cooperatives have a special commitment to helping their members and their communities. That’s because cooperatives, unlike many businesses, are locally owned and operated by those who use the products and services. And that’s why cooperatives throughout the nation will be taking time during the month of October to promote a better public understanding of this unique form of business.
“We hope to see our members plus the entire community celebrate October Co-op Month with us,” said Wittstruck.
