Water Surveys
The City of Beloit will be sending out surveys to the residents of Beloit and Rural Water District #1. They are asking all residents who benefit from the city’s water services to complete and return the survey. Results from this survey will be used to apply for a Community Development Block Grant for water quality improvements being offered by the Kansas Dept. of Commerce. The completion and return of this survey is very important, the results may qualify our community for more block grants in the future.

Not sure how to get started with a computer on the internet or email? Do you have an iPAD but don’t use it for much beyond Solitaire? Do you wish you could use more features on your Smart Phone other than to just answer the phone? All these questions, and more, can be answered on Monday and Wednesday, March 28 and 30, at the Beloit Senior Center, from 9:30 until 11:00. The workshop is open to everyone, regardless of age, and is FREE!!! The Mitchell County Council on Aging, as well as the Beloit Senior Center is sponsoring the event, and will feature Miss Maeve Spangler, Miss Lexi Roberg, and Miss Tayler Watts of Beloit High School as the presenters. Maeve, Lexi, and Tayler will take your questions each day, and will work with you on either your own electronic equipment, or on the computers available at the Senior Center. No advance enrollment is required. The participants will determine the content, as their questions will lead the discussion. Whether novice or more advanced, Maeve, Lexi, and Tayler will help you become better suited to getting the most out of your device.
Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops, iPads, and Smart Phones to the Senior Center either, or both, days of the workshop.
