2016 Spring Expo
Spaces are going fast for the 2015 Spring Expo (formerly Farm Home & Garden Show). You still have time to take advantage of this great opportunity to showcase your business. Applications are available. The show will take place Saturday, April 2nd at the Municipal Building from 9am-3pm. 2016 Farmway Agriculture Career Scholarship
To qualify for the scholarship, a student must:
- Be a high school senior, graduating in spring 2015; and
- Enrolled at a university, college, junior college or at a one or two-year institution of higher learning beyond high school;
- Demonstrate leadership abilities and academic performance;
- Complete the attached application and include one character reference and one reference letter;
- Submit one photo suitable for the newspaper to be used upon selection as an awardee; and
- Write an essay on the topic, “Agriculture: Sustaining Future Generations”
- Each entry must begin with a title page containing: official topic, “Agriculture: Sustaining Future Generations” number of words, writer’s name, address, phone number, date of birth, school name and
- No reference can be made in the essay that will identify the contestant beyond the listing of the name on the title page. The author is allowed to reference a state’s name within the
- Essays must be typed, double-spaced.
- All essays must be accompanied by Farmway Scholarship
Farmway Producer-Member Scholarship

- Be a child of an active patron and owner of Farmway Co-op, ;
- Enrolled at a university, college, junior college or at a one or two-year institution of higher learning beyond high school;
- Demonstrate leadership abilities and academic performance;
- Complete an application including one character reference and one reference letter;
- Submit one photo suitable for the newspaper to be used upon selection as an awardee; and
- Write an essay on the topic, “Agriculture: The Cooperative ”
- Each entry must begin with a title page containing: official topic, “Agriculture: The Cooperative Difference” number of words, writer’s name, address, phone number, date of birth, school name and
- Discuss the differences between a cooperative and other business models and outline the advantages to being a member of a co-op”
- No reference can be made in the essay that will identify the contestant beyond the listing of the name on the title page. The author is allowed to reference a state’s name within the

Ronald File Memorial Scholarship
The Ronald File Memorial Scholarship offers a $500 scholarship to one graduating senior from the Beloit FFA Chapter. Farmway Co-op is assisting the memorial committee in its scholarship selection process.
Scholarship Criteria:
1. The Ronald File Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior student enrolled at a university, college, junior college or at a one or two-year institution of higher learning beyond the 12th grade Applicant must be majoring in an agriculture related field.
- The applicant must be a member of the Beloit FFA
- Application must include 2 letters of recommendation. One from within school (administrator, teacher, etc.) and one of personal choice (not a family member). Letters of recommendation must contain information about leadership, character, initiative, and school/community
- Submit one photo suitable for the newspaper to be used upon selection as an
- Applicant must fill out and include a typed Scholarship Application
- Applicant must write a one-page minimum on “How you plan to contribute to the agriculture industry” that includes what you’ve learned from FFA, the agriculture industry and how it has shaped your career
