Becker Autos & Trailers
Becker Autos & Trailers in Downs and Beloit, Kansas are happy to announce the sponsorship of the number 98 Reed Sorenson and number 62 Timmy Hill NASCAR Sprint Cup Cars at Kansas Speedway this weekend.
What started as a dream at Kansas Speedway in May has now become a full sponsorship for the Kansas car and trailer dealership. In May, Lydia Housh of Becker Autos & Trailers noticed that there was no sponsorship on the hood of the 98 car during pre-race inspections. By asking and making an offer to sponsor the car, the Becker Autos & Trailers logo was placed on the hood of the 98 for the May Kansas Sprint Cup race. Enjoying the experience of it all, Becker Autos & Trailers was happy to get the opportunity to be the main sponsor of the number 98 and number 62 Premium Motorsports cars again this October for the race in Kansas.
“We are proud to sponsor such a hardworking team. We feel a connection with our own business, when we see the crew pull together to get the job done. Every person on their team plays several rolls and wears several hats that pull together and make a legit race team. It’s great to see even with a smaller crew and a smaller budget they can still go out and run with the big names of the NASCAR SprintCup series. It all relates to how our business has operated for years at Becker Autos & Trailers” said Lydia Housh co-owner of Becker Autos & Trailers in Beloit.
What started as a one lot car dealership by Alvin Becker 32 years ago has become a supercenter for vehicles, trailers, campers and more. Becker Autos & Trailers in Beloit carries over 70 used and like new vehicles; over 100 new trailers from utility, stock and heavy duty; 30 brand new Keystone campers; and several motorcycles, golf carts and miscellaneous items. They now have a repair facility and shop to work on new inventory and for customers. They can now offer financing options and certified pre-owned inventory.
“To see our business’ name on a NASCAR Sprint Cup car is something I never thought could happen. It makes me realize the growth our business has received in the last 5 years alone. It’s a thank you and a tribute to our customers and our employees for allowing our business to achieve such growth, and for the support for over 30 years. Please help us cheer on the 98 and 62 cars this weekend at the NASCAR race and take pride with us in seeing the Becker Autos & Trailers cars at Kansas Speedway!” said Blake Housh co-owner of Becker Autos & Trailers.

Nex-Tech Wireless Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Over the past ten years Nex-Tech Wireless has worked diligently to bring superior wireless service to Central and Western Kansas, while providing customers with a wireless experience that is truly “Something Different”.
The Hays-based company launched service on October 15, 2005 with 35 employees and 89 cell sites. The company rapidly grew into one of the most successful rural wireless providers in the country. Nex-Tech Wireless now employs over 120 employees, serves nearly 60,000 customers with 300+ towers and provides an economic impact of over $6 million to local economies in Kansas through payroll and corporate philanthropy.
During this past year Nex-Tech Wireless has aggressively built-out its 4G LTE network with adding high speed data to over 50 sites, in addition to building nearly 10 new sites to enhance customer’s wireless experience. With the fastest speeds available, customers can enjoy service up to 10x faster than what they may have experienced with 3G service. Strategic partnerships have been implemented to provide customers with seamless coverage and high speeds both locally and nationwide.
New retail and authorized agent locations have been added in McPherson, Hutchinson, Inman, Abilene and Salina Mall in the last 12 months. Customers can now visit one of the 48 locations near them for assistance or contact the Nex-Tech Wireless Customer Care team, which is located in Hays. By having local stores to assist customers and a Customer Care department that is familiar with the area, Nex-Tech Wireless is able to provide a more personal experience for customers.
“The customer has always been at the forefront of our business. We have continued to evolve and use technology and innovation to benefit our customers,” stated Jon Lightle, President and CEO for Nex-Tech Wireless. “All of our growth could not be accomplished without our team working diligently to ensure the best customer experience possible.”
The company aggressively expanded its portfolio of smartphones in recent years with the addition of Androids and iPhones. Along with the evolution of technology, Nex-Tech Wireless has introduced home internet solutions, portable internet devices, tablets and fleet tracking. Additionally, Nex-Tech Wireless has adapted with the competitive landscape by offering customers nationwide shared data plans, unlimited data options, carryover data, no-contract plans and the opportunity for customers to upgrade as often as they choose. This year, Nex-Tech Wireless introduced Perkville, a program to reward its customers by earning points which can be redeemed for various discounts.
Nex-Tech Wireless has maintained its commitment to the communities it serves. In its 10th year of business, Nex-Tech Wireless introduced two scholarship opportunities at Fort Hays State University. Additionally, Nex-Tech Wireless partnered with the Kansas State Fair to become the Official Wireless Provider and the Official Sponsor of the Nex-Tech Wireless Grandstand. Various local charities are supported by Nex-Tech Wireless and their employees through jeans months, toy drives and participation in events such as Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kid’s Sake, Relay for Life, Susan G Komen Race for the Cure and countless other events.
