New Chamber Website!

After eight months of working on this it is finally up and running! The Chamber would like to announce its brand new website! Although the address is the same, the site is more professional, attractive and user friendly. I am still working on updating some of the pictures and content on each of the pages but hope to have it complete by the end of summer. I am very proud that the Board made the decision to enhance our website.

Please take a moment and check it out! If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please don’t hesitate to contact me. I am very excited in the direction the Chamber is heading!

Waconda Lake Fireworks

The Waconda Lake Fireworks Association was pleased to announce the successful funding of the fireworks display last year and we have decided to once again ask for your support of this tradition for 2015.

The Waconda Lake Fireworks Association has completed arrangements for a spectacular fireworks display at dusk (approximately 9:30 pm) on Saturday, July 4, 2015 and we are asking for your help and financial support.

This fireworks display will be enjoyed by many area residents, but it cannot be continued without donations, as our association is an all-volunteer, non-profit association.

Our fundraising goal for this fireworks display in 2015 is $9,000. This includes fees for the
professional pyrotechnics of Rainbow Fireworks, insurance, permit fees, and advertising.
Attached is a form which outlines sponsorship opportunities.

We hope you consider supporting this exciting venture and tradition.
The committee feels that the Waconda Lake Fireworks Display will benefit not only our area community members but area businesses as well.

Thank You.
Heather Johnson

The Kansas Department of Commerce has named 23 Regional Business Excellence Award winners and 52 Merit Award winners as part of Business Appreciation Month, the Department’s annual celebration of Kansas businesses and their contributions to their communities and the state economy. The 75 businesses were nominated in one of four categories: manufacturing/distribution, service, retail and hospital/non-profit.

“The Business Appreciation Month awards provide a great opportunity to honor the many outstanding businesses in our state,” Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George said. “The finalists, regional winners and merit award winners have helped grow the Kansas economy, create jobs and invest in their communities.”

Two businesses in Mitchell County were nominated by Solomon Valley Economic Development. They were Regional Winner, The EyeCare Center, Chad Thompson and Merit Winner, Sonic of Beloit, Doug & Amy Costigan. Congratulations!

Chamber Coffee!

The coffee is Friday, July 10th from 9am-10:30am at Meyer Chiropractic, 119 N Mill. Dr. Thomas Owen is a Beloit chiropractor who serves Beloit and the surrounding communities in KS.
Thomas Owen uses chiropractic care to improve the health and wellness in all areas of patient’s lives, whether they are having problems with back pain or neck pain, or just want to start feeling better when they wake up in the morning. Dr Owen takes a “whole person” approach in chiropractic care, which means looking for the underlying causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, as opposed to just treating the symptoms. Many seemingly unrelated symptoms often arise from imbalances in the spinal column, and Dr Owen will be able to determine the root of the pain and create a personalized chiropractic and wellness plan to suit each patient’s individual needs. Under the supervision and care of our caring and skilled chiropractor, patients report higher functioning in all areas of their lives.
If you have any questions about our Beloit chiropractor, or would like to learn more about chiropractic care at Meyer Chiropractic Center, please call us at 785-738-5353 today!
