The coffee is TODAY, Friday, June 12th from 9am-10:30am at the Chamber Office hosted by World Pest Control. When it comes to safe and responsible pest control services, central Kansas residents and business owners have been trusting World Pest Control to deliver consistent pest control services for all of their exterminator needs. As a family owned company we value and respect that trust, and will continue to do so into the future.
Stop by the Chamber Office to chat with Shonda, have a cup of coffee, eat a cinnamon roll and network with great friends!
Welcome New Chamber Member
The Chamber would like to welcome Asher Creek Real Estate & Appraisal, 512 W Main as the newest member of the Chamber. Sara Hynek, Broker/Owner, has been in the real estate business since 2011. Born and raised in the Beloit community, she will be able to assist your every need with confidence, knowledge and a fresh outlook. Her confidence comes from her experience in the profession and the knowledge base from appraisal training. Her knowledge of the area is brought by years of involvement throughout the community and a family background stretching multiple generations, and her fresh outlook is from being a young professional in an ever changing world.
After graduating from Beloit Jr-Sr High in 2005, Sara attended Kansas State University with course studies in Architecture, Interior Design and Fine Art and graduated in 2010. She and her husband, JR Hynek, moved back to the Beloit area in 2015. JR works on the family farm of Mike and Karla Kruse pursuing a lifelong dream of being a farmer.
Sara is also pursuing her Certified General Appraiser’s license. Her specialties are residential and agriculture. She has been training with two veteran appraisers, with over 60 combined years of experience, for over 2 years and will soon be finishing up the training process.
Call us at 785-738-8131 for all your Real Estate and Appraisal needs!
Sara would like to welcome everyone to her ribbon cutting on Thursday, June 18th at 11am at 512 W Main. Please plan to stop by and welcome her to the Chamber and back home to Beloit.
Ribbon Cutting/Open House
A Ribbon Cutting will be held at Cottage Celebrations, 622 N Poplar, TODAY, Friday, June 12th at 11am. An open house and refreshments will follow until 6pm. Owner Julie Nichols began cake decorating in high school. She decorated for family and friends, then a few years ago started getting more serious as more and more people asked her if she could do a cake for them. Last November, Julie made a six-tier, fondant ruffled wedding cake and at that point, was hooked. In January, Julie made the decision to go full-time and has been getting busier and busier each month. Julie thanks everyone who has ordered and looks forward to serving Beloit and the area with more beautiful and delicious cakes, cookies, and confections in the future. To see pictures of Julie’s work, please visit her facebook page, Cottage Celebrations. Hours of operation are by appointment at this time. You may call Julie at 785-534-9180, email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or send a message via facebook, to place an order.
