Chautauqua Isle of Lights

The 2014 Chautauqua Isle of Lights remains open through tonight December 31st. Hours are from 6pm to 9pm.

Area residents are encouraged to bring their holiday visitors to view the display in the park.

Admission is free, however donations are greatly appreciated. Donations go toward improving the current displays and adding new ones.

Categories include religious, winter wonderland, patriotic, toyland, Christmas cards, school mascots, antique vehicles and farm machinery.

Ribbon Cutting

A Ribbon Cutting will take place on Tuesday, January 6th for Schoen Funeral Home (formerly Harrison Funeral Home), 302 N Hersey, at 10am.

Plan to stop by and congratulate Sylvia & Barry on their new endeavor.

Chamber Coffee!

The Chamber Coffee is Friday, January 9th at Nex-Tech Wireless, 3053 B E Hwy 24, from 9am-10:30am. Stop by for a cup of coffee and network with great friends!

2015 Beloit Home Show

Has your business signed up for the 2015 Beloit Home Show? You still have time to take advantage of this great opportunity to showcase your business. Applications are available. The show will take place Saturday, March 21st at the Municipal Building from 9am-4pm. If you were not a vendor last year and would like to become one this year, contact the Chamber office at 738-2717 or by email at beloitchamber@nckcn.com and one will be sent to you. We look for this show to grow so send in your applications early. The applications are attached.

Ribbon Cutting

A ribbon cutting will take place for KKSJ 107.5 FM Catholic Radio in Beloit on Friday, January 9th at 1pm. The radio station is located in the Parish Office, 622 E Main. Please plan to join us.

Mitchell County Historical Society

Mitchell County Historical Society in Beloit will host “Jackalopes, Hodags, and Other Larger than Life Myths from the American Road,” a presentation and discussion by Erika Nelson on January 25, 2015 at 2:00PM at the old American Legion building 1/8 mile south of the junctions highways 24 and 14. Members of the community are invited to attend the free program. Contact the Mitchell County Historical Society at 785.738.5355 for more information. The program is made possible by the Kansas Humanities Council.
