Provide your family or business with video surveillance from Car-Tel Enterprises for the best home or business security money can buy.
“Car-Tel Enterprises was born out of I trend I saw in the communication business. Time and time again, big-name companies installed low-grade products at high prices, with no thought to the customer’s feelings. I have seen installations done hurriedly, and in shabby conditions. I started Car-Tel Enterprises because all customers should get the best-quality job for their money. That’s why I do the job right the first time.” ~ Chad Carter. Contact Chad Carter at 785-564-0118 today to receive a free estimate on your video surveillance installation.

The state’s September seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.8 percent, down from 4.9 percent in August and down from 5.3 percent in September 2013.
Kansas gained 10,700 seasonally adjusted private sector jobs, an increase of 1 percent since last year, and 9,200 nonfarm jobs, a 0.7 percent increase. Since last month, Kansas gained 1,300 seasonally adjusted private sector jobs, a 0.1 percent increase. The state gained 2,400 seasonally adjusted total nonfarm jobs, a 0.2 percent increase since last month.
“The Kansas economy is strong and continues to grow.” said Lana Gordon, Secretary of Labor. “Unemployment claims are at lows not seen since 2008. More than 23,000 Kansans have found work in the past year alone and are finding jobs that are paying better wages.”
Not seasonally adjusted figures show Kansas gained 11,400 private sector jobs since last year, or 1 percent, and 9,500 nonfarm jobs, an increase of 0.7 percent. Since August, private sector jobs decreased by 5,300, a 0.5 percent decline. The state gained 17,400 total nonfarm jobs over the month, a 1.3 percent increase.
“Despite national trends showing people leaving the labor force, Kansas continues in the right direction with more people entering the labor force and finding jobs, driving the state’s unemployment rate down,” said Justin McFarland, Director, Labor Market Information Services.
The not seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in September was 4.4 percent, down from 4.8 percent in August and down from 5.1 percent last year.
There were 10,978 initial claims for unemployment benefits in September 2014, up from 9,953 in August and down from 11,297 last year. There were 68,335 continued claims in September, up from 62,606 the previous month and down from 112,887 in September 2013. These numbers include all available programs.
Mitchell County unemployment for September 2014 was 3.1% compared to 3.6% in August 2014 and 3% in September 2013.
The USDA has sent out the Top 100 Co-ops list in its latest issue of “Rural Cooperatives” magazine. Only four Kansas based cooperatives made the list including your very own Farmway Co-op! Farmway Co-op ranks 70 in the top 100, which is something we can all be proud of as we all play a part in Farmway’s success. Farmway is also one of 139 cooperatives that are part of the “Co-op Century Club,” which is a remarkable feat for any business to reach its 100th birthday. Farmway is 103 years old this year!
Congratulations Farmway Coop!
