NCK Tech Students Awarded Hodler Scholarship
NCK Tech College is proud to announce the recipients of the Hodler Scholarship for the 2013-14 academic year. Sierra Winkel, Beloit, and Christy Stevenson, Simpson, each received a $300 scholarship. The Hodler scholarship was established by the family of Rex and Berenice Hodler. The Hodlers, lifelong residents of Mitchell County, had a passion for farming and education and a shared belief that education was a vital component to an individual’s success. The scholarship is awarded to Mitchell County nursing students who have indicated a need for financial assistance and have demonstrated excellence in academics and exemplary patient care.
The Practical Nursing program on the Beloit campus is a one year certificate program. Upon successful completion of the program, students are qualified to sit for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state examination. The student may then enter the workforce or enroll in the second year Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) program on the Hays campus.
